May 3, 2026 — The 2026 Thomas Cup and Uber Cup officially came to a close, with five Team Kumpoo members representing the national teams of Australia, Canada, and Finland on badminton’s biggest team stage, showcasing determination and fighting spirit throughout the tournament.
On the Thomas Cup side, Australia’s Andika Ramadiansyah made his debut appearance at the prestigious event, giving his all in the double’s competition. Finnish standout Kalle Koljonen returns to compete for his country in the men's singles competition.
At the Uber Cup, Australia’s Gronya Somerville, Tiffany Ho, and Faye Huo, along with Canada’s Catherine Choi, all took to the court for their respective national teams. From experienced veterans to rising young talents making their first appearances, every player competed fearlessly and gained invaluable experience against some of the world’s top opponents.
Although they did not finish on the podium, earning the opportunity to compete at the Thomas & Uber Cup itself was already a tremendous honor. Team Kumpoo will continue moving forward, with an even brighter future ahead.
