On August 6, 2009, Kumpoo held a press conference in Bangkok, Thailand, officially announcing a global brand ambassador partnership with Thai men's singles badminton star Boonsak Ponsana. Known affectionately as the “Superman” of Thai badminton, the renowned athlete marked an important milestone in Kumpoo's international expansion.
Born on February 22, 1982, Boonsak Ponsana is one of the most iconic men's singles players in Thai badminton history. At the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, he reached the men's singles semifinals, achieving Thailand's best-ever Olympic badminton result at the time. In May 2007, Boonsak defeated a series of renowned players, including Hafiz Hashim and Lin Dan, at the Singapore Super Series before reaching the final, where he defeated Chen Yu 2–0 to claim the title. In 2008, he won the men's singles title at the India Open Grand Prix Gold for the second time. Affectionately known as “Superman” by Thai badminton fans, Boonsak became one of the leading figures of Southeast Asian badminton.
