On January 19, 2025, the inaugural KUMPOO Cup Paralympic Champions Challenge, sponsored by KUMPOO and organized by the Ningxia Disabled Persons' Federation and Ningxia Sports Bureau, concluded successfully at Ningxia Gymnasium. This grand sports event was truly spectacular. Many renowned athletes and Olympic champions gathered together, adding brilliance to this meaningful competition.
This competition is themed "Join Hands to Shine, Set Sail for Dreams". At the opening ceremony, Ms. Ding Fang, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Disabled Persons' Federation of Ningxia Autonomous Region, emphasized the significance of this competition: It aims to fully showcase and promote the unique charm of disabled people's sports, and to carry forward the spirit of the Paralympic champions. Through such event activities, it can enhance society's understanding of disabled people, promote integration and cooperation between the disabled and able-bodied individuals. At the same time, it encourages all young disabled athletes in the region to train hard and achieve success as soon as possible, so as to bring honor to Ningxia.
This competition invited Olympic champions and national athletes such as Qu Zimu, Liu Yutong, and Tang Kaifeng to participate. Among the many guests, Ben Youyou, as a close friend of KUMPOO and an inspiring athlete, and also the breaker of the Guinness World Record for the Burpee Jump, his presence became a major highlight on the field. Ben Youyou, with his strong willpower and love for sports, demonstrated an extraordinary fighting spirit on the field. His story inspired every audience member, allowing them to see the tremendous energy and unlimited possibilities contained within the disabled community. He used his actions to interpret what true fighting and persistence mean, becoming a role model in the hearts of countless people.
