March 9, 2026 — At the conclusion of the Singapore International Series 2026, Team Kumpoo athletes once again delivered impressive performances on the international stage. Australian doubles player Nozomi SHIMIZU secured the women’s doubles runner-up title, while teammate Karono KARONO advanced to the semifinals in the men’s singles event. Their outstanding performances added another highlight to Team Kumpoo’s growing list of achievements.

Throughout the tournament, Nozomi Shimizu demonstrated consistent form and strong competitive composure. She defeated several formidable opponents on her way to the final. Although she narrowly missed the championship in the title match, her runner-up finish once again demonstrated her proven strength and experience in doubles competition.

Meanwhile, fellow Team Kumpoo athlete Karono also delivered an impressive performance in the men’s singles draw. With sharp attacking play and solid defensive control, he fought his way through multiple rounds and ultimately secured a semifinal finish.
