September 7, 2026—At the recently concluded Indonesia Masters 2026, multiple Team Kumpoo players took to the court against top-level opponents, gaining valuable experience and progress through high-level competition.

In the men’s singles event, Team Kumpoo members Cheam June Wei and Kantaphon Wangcharoen took to the court. Cheam June Wei faced a young Indonesian player on home soil. Under the pressure from the home-crowd support and his opponent’s fierce challenge, he gave it his all but ultimately bowed out in the quarterfinals. Kantaphon Wangcharoen also went up against world-class opponents, putting his competitive form to the test in real-match conditions.    

In the women’s singles event, Malaysian player Kisona Selvaduray and Indonesian youngster Dalila Puteri represented Team Kumpoo. Both players showed grit and fought hard against a series of strong opponents. Although neither advanced further, they gained valuable international-tournament experience from their head-to-head clashes with high-level competitors.

In mixed doubles, Malaysian pair Too Ming Yap and Lee Yu Shan also took to the court. The young mixed doubles duo demonstrated tight coordination and fighting spirit, before bowing out in the Round of 16. Every match is an opportunity to grow, and every battle against a strong opponent builds momentum for future breakthroughs.

In the men’s doubles event, Lwi Sheng Hao also took part in the tournament. He and his partner further fine-tuned their game and built better on-court chemistry through match play, laying a more solid foundation for their future collaborations.

Although Team Kumpoo did not reach the podium at the Indonesia Masters 2026, every player gave their all on-court. From men’s singles and women’s singles to mixed doubles, the team sharpened its skills and strengthened its resolve through competition. True growth is not only about reaching the top, but also about the gains and reflections from every battle against the world’s best.
