August 10, 2026 —— At the recently concluded 2026 PPA Asia 500 Ho Chi Minh Open, Team Kumpoo athletes Yufei Long and Lingwei Kong claimed championship titles in the women’s doubles and mixed doubles events respectively, securing two of the five gold medals.

As the seventh stop of the 2026 PPA Asia Tour, the Ho Chi Minh Open featured a total prize pool of USD 70,000. The women’s doubles champions earned USD 5,500 in prize money along with 500 tour ranking points. Held from August 6 to 9, the tournament featured five professional categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The event took place at City Park in The Global City, bringing together top pickleball players from across Asia and around the world.

In the women’s doubles final, top-seeded Yufei Long and her partner displayed excellent teamwork and composure. Notably, her partner had just completed a three-game battle to win the women’s singles final earlier that day, resulting in significant physical exertion. Taking on more responsibility on court, Yufei Long helped control the pace of the match and secured the victory in straight games, winning 12-10 and 11-5. This marked her second women’s doubles championship of the PPA Asia Tour season after her previous triumph in Singapore.

In the mixed doubles final, Lingwei Kong partnered with Wang Kangjie. After losing the opening game, the pair showed strong resilience and completed the comeback, winning 4-11, 11-8, and 11-9 to claim the title. With this championship, Lingwei Kong once again demonstrated her consistent competitiveness among Asia’s elite pickleball players.

Following this victory, Yufei Long has now achieved the remarkable milestone of winning championships in four consecutive PPA Asia Tour stops — from the women’s doubles title at the Kuala Lumpur Open in May, to the women’s doubles championship at the Beijing Open in June, to the women’s singles and women’s doubles double titles at the Singapore Open in July, and finally the women’s doubles crown at the Ho Chi Minh Open in August.
